Ken Bladh has an amazing mineralogical background that certainly began prior to his student days at the University of Arizona. My, that was the time for field collecting when many of the now-closed mines were in operation and mine dumps were fresh with “mineral treasures”. Ken is one of my favorite speakers, and I’m really going to miss hearing this presentation of that time and beyond. Ken also is the current President of the Midwest Chapter of the Friends of Mineralogy, and they have an excellent field trip program for members…be sure to ask how to join that group if you’d like to participate.
Dennis Murphy will introduce Ken in my absence (I’ll be speaking that very evening at the Rochester Symposium)
As always, guests are most welcome at our meetings. The program will be well received by every age.
